Unlike electronic stabilization, OIS continues to work when shooting dramatic wide screen 16:9 footage and when shooting digital stills, keeping your photos crisp and blur free.

With its powerful DIGIC DV processor, the MVX40 has photo functions typically found only in specialist digital cameras. You have access to picture effects such as Sepia and Vivid Colour, special Scene Modes to help you get great results in tricky lighting conditions, Auto Exposure Bracketing and a built-in flash. Dual path DIGIC DV processing lets you take photos and record video simultaneously, and up to 60 frames at 5fps can be shot in a single burst.
